bible reading: Jeremiah 29:11-13; Ephesians 2:10

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

12 In those days when you pray, I will listen.

13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

devotion:

In the final day of our reading plan, we focus on embracing the purpose God has for us. Jeremiah 29:11-13 reminds us that God has plans to give us hope and a future, and Ephesians 2:10 affirms that we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works. As you read these passages, think about your divine purpose and the good works God has prepared for you.

Question for reflection:

How does understanding that you are God's handiwork influence your sense of purpose? What good works do you feel called to pursue?
