Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.

  • The Bible

We believe in the plenary, verbal inspiration of the accepted cannon of Scriptures as originally given.

    Scripture References:

    2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Corinthians 2:13

  • The Trinity

We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as one God existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible.

    Scripture References:

    Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Romans 1:7, Genesis 1:26

  • Jesus

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, very God and very man. (Luke 1:26-35, John 1:18, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6)

We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples. (I Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 4:24-25, Romans 6:5, I Peter 1:3)

We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation and personal, literal and bodily coming again the second time for the Church. (John 14:2-3, I Thessalonians 4:13-18, John 20:17, Luke 24:50-51, Acts 1:11)

  • The Fall

We believe in the creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis; man’s total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness.

    Scripture References:

    Romans 5:12, Romans 5:18, Ephesians 2:4-5, I Peter 4:6

  • Salvation

We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins.

    Scripture References:

    Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 9:12, Romans 5:11

  • Baptism

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Eternal Godhead as an act of obedience to the command of Christ.

    Scripture References:

    Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:36-39, Acts 8:12, Acts 10:48, Acts 19:1-6, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:12

  • Spiritual Gifts

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation, with Scriptural evidence; typically, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:1-4, Acts 8:14-17, Acts 10:44-46, Acts 19:6, I Corinthians 14:2, I Corinthians 14:4, I Corinthians 14:18, Luke 3:16)

We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit as stated in the scriptures. (I Corinthians 12-14, Romans 12:4-8, I Peter 4:10-11)

We believe in the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world and perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith. (Ephesians 5:18, II Corinthians 7:1)

    We believe in the healing of the body by divine power, or divine healing in its varied aspects as practiced in the Early Church. Acts 4:30, Romans 8:11, I Corinthians 12:9, James 5:14;

  • The Church

We believe the church is God’s eternal purpose to display His manifold wisdom and that Christ is building His church now. (Ephesians 3:9-11, Ephesians 6:10-17, Matthew 16:16-19)

We believe in the five-fold ascension gift ministries Christ had given to and for the church: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. (Ephesians 4:11-16, I Corinthians 12:28, Acts 13:1-3)
